But then my grandparents joined us for lunch so we weren't so outnumbered. The kids lunch. I had small cookie cutter that I used on the bologna, turkey and Cheese. They loved it.

Our Weekend Getaway

Thursday Jeff decided we should go away for the weekend. We decided to go to Mystic, CT. It is about an hour away. I started calling hotels. Our favorite one was booked but I found one for Saturday night a few miles away in Groton.Friday, we decided to leave that night. With in an hour and a half we were in the car and going. We got there at 7:30pm. Unpacked and all of us went swimming. The kids loved it! Even Riana. She did a cute half jump into the pool. Saturday we had breakfast at the hotel and then more swimming for the older two while Riana and I did some food shopping. We went to the Aquarium in the afternoon. Sunday we decided to stay another day. We went on an old Steam Train. That brought us to a Riverboat. Then after our ride back tot he train to bring us to our car. The kids really loved it. Monday Jeff brought the kids swimming while I packed the room. I was done in a half hour with out any "helpers." So what we planned as an overnight, turned into a great weekend of 3 nights away. Here are some of the pictures from the weekend:
While on vacation we got a special visitor: The Tooth Fairy! Shayla and Jeff were wrestling and his thumb got caught under her loose tooth and out it popped!
Riana in the hotel room and Shayla and Trin in the mirror.
Trinity and Shayla watching TV. They were supposed to sleep in this bed but Jeff got one bed. I slept with Shayla or Trinity in the other and Riana got the pack and play. Glad she didn't try to climb out. She is able to climb out of the regular playpen for months now. Who ever didn't sleep w/ me slept on the floor. They like to "campout" on the floor at home.

Jeff and I at the Aquarium Watching the Sea Lion Show. The only picture of the both of us.
Shayla and Riana watching the Beluga Whale.
A picture of all three in one shot. Next to the sharks.
Shayla, Trinity and I on the Steam Train. The kids were excited to be on an old fashion train.
Jeff and Riana on the train. Riana liked the windows!

4th of July pictures

Riana is ready for 4th of July.

Shayla can't wait to see the fireworks.

Trinity can't wait to get outside.

Celebrate the 4th of July

We all had a great week. On Wednesday, Jeff came home from work early and took Shayla and Trinity to see the town's fireworks. Riana and I stayed home because this year she is afraid of them. Friday, We had a few people over. Jeff made steak and ribs on the grill. We had to eat inside because it was raining. By 9:00 it was dry enough to shoot off the fireworks off that Jeff bought. It was a great display with coordinating music. Riana and I watched from her bedroom window.
Saturday, Jeff took Trin fishing. Then the 3 girls went to his mother's for a sleepover. I love it when that happens. They mostly take the older two. Riana cried at bedtime for 45 minutes so I went and picked her up. Oh well, we had a little time to ourselves. Now Monday is here and it is time to make plans for the week. Maybe the library today.
I have fixed the comment area(I think). So feel free to leave your comments.

SnuggleBear: Lost no Found no Lost

Last night and today have been spent in much thought. Where in the world can SnuggleBear be? In case you don't know who Snugglebear is, let me remind you. This is Trinity's best friend in the whole world. It has been with her since she was 1 years old. It has gotten lost before and survived the torture brought upon it by Riana (the toilet incident). I searched the house, van, downstairs, back yard. I can't even remember when the last time I saw it was. My sister Dawn was here for the weekend and gave Trin a new Webkinz. So she has been bringing that with her.So I tried everywhere we went in the past few days: I called the church and Dunkin Donuts(We went Sunday). No luck. I called the library (Thurs.). Nope. Called the ice cream shop(Friday night). Yes they said they had a pink bear for a baby. Yeah!! I drove down there 20 mins later. IT WAS A BUNNY!! Trin was so excited I found it and then it was shattered. Tomorrow I will call the zoo. I have even looked at pictures I took to see if I could get a glimpse of the illusive bear. Nada. I tried years ago to get another one because I knew this day would come. I obviously was unsuccessful. I miss it as much as she does. I was hoping to put it in a shadow box for her as she got older. Now my dream is shattered too.
Snugglebear: Please come home.
